Although I don't work from home, I do live alone now. On weekends, getting dressed "from head to toe", as Amy calls it, definitely has an impact on how I feel about myself. I loved that I could work in my pjs if I wanted though I rarely worked in them. I do my hair every day, I do my face, but don't always do makeup. I looked great when I went out but at home bending and lifting and hammering and sawing and sewing and hot-glueing --- no way was I going to wear my "good" clothes. Today I love retirement and am just now getting over feeling indulgent when I spend time during the day reading a book, cross stitching or watching a movie. I worked at home/ran my own business for 25+ years and did not always dress top to bottom every day.
